Japan’s Top Fox Main Releases His Smash Ultimate Version 7.0.0 Tier List

Fresh off a ninth-place finish at Frostbite 2020, Japanese Fox main Paseriman dropped his latest tier list for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate earlier today. As usual, Little Mac finds himself in the bottom-most tier, but elsewhere there are some surprises. In particular, Paseriman ranks his own main in SS tier behind only Palutena, Zero Suit Samus, and Peach/Daisy. It’s also a surprise to see that Olimar, the winning character at Evo Japan 2020, is all the way down in AA tier.

Then again, perhaps this is to be expected. As time goes on, different regions develop different approaches to the game, and these different approaches usually buoy some characters while hindering others. Paseriman also has different firsthand match experience than players in the US and Europe, so he may know something that others don’t – or vice versa.
