Leffen Adds His Smash Ultimate Tier List
Says matchup familiarity matters more than matchup theory

William “Leffen” Hjelte posted his tier list for version 5.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate:

Together with the recent tier lists from Armada and Dabuz, Leffen’s tier list brings us one step closer to establishing a consensus on the current state of the game. Interestingly, though, Leffen says that the tiers themselves are less important than a player’s comfort in a specific matchup. If that’s right, fans should expect to see a good number of upsets as “low-tier heroes” become more familiar with the popular characters.
