It’s no secret that traditional arcades have not been faring well and Japan is no exception to this trend. The announcement of Dragonball FighterZ being only on console was another thing to confirm this trend. At the time there weren’t any good places to play console fighters.
Majin Obama and Jiyuna didn’t want to take this lying down and decided to take action. Now they are officially backed by Namco Bandai and host SoulCalibur 6 and Tekken 7 as well.
The community at FT revels in the fact that they take care of their own. There’s a player named Jona that teaches brand new level zero players in Tekken. They provide setups and controllers to reduce friction for potential new players and provide for the regulars.
Fighting Tuesday truly embodies what the FGC is proud of: great diversity, love for the game, and love for the community.
